Life as an artist brought Tracy the pleasure of working in many different mediums, and now we see how it prepared him for the art of glass fusing and bead making, also known as lampworking.
Tracy was captivated and immediately interested in learning about this new art form. It has provided him with an endless, creative opportunity to work with fire, form, texture and best of all, color. Lampwork beads are like painting with glass. He has found warm or fused glass to be the perfect way to use his imagination and creativity to combine color and texture into distinctive fused glass art. He turns his kiln on to fuse art glass together in intense heat, creating the illusion of fluidity making unique pieces. He enjoys the light filtering through transparent or translucent glass that play with our perceptions and gives us a sense of depth.
